1954 ~ 2010

new york city nightlife has lost one of it's own last week. the legendary marc berkley. if you didn't know marc, you certainly had him in your hands every friday night when you picked up a copy of HOMO XTRA aka HX. the ringmaster of our favorite weekend parties was the founder of fag rag we all COULD NOT LIVE WITHOUT if you to be a homo in the know!

the first time i met marc was at the limelight in the years when i was in the house of xtravaganza and hanging tough with kenny kenny, michael alig and the rest of club kids that helped build a scene long missed. marc said to me "i love your look". we just laughed because while everyone else was dressed in costumes that defied imagination, i was in a white t-shirt, blue jeans and my signature yankee baseball cap... at the time i was living at home and totally closeted from my family.

we'll all miss you marc. thank you for leading a generation!

THE 2010 GAYVN AWARDS ARE A GO...

many of you, friends and fans alike have been asking me if i'm up for a coveted OSCAR of the gay adult entertainment industry again this year. the truth is, im not sure. there were rumors floating around that the big event wasn't going to happen when the usual november announcement which includes the time and date didn't come. however, word from GayVN HQ is quite exciting. you'll read more when you click the link, but the awards will take place during folsom weekend this september! here are the nominated categories.
