speaking of mainstreaming...
many of you know that i come from a theater and film back ground. to this day i still read for parts in independent films and i get lots of extra work in television (gossip girl, law & order, ugly betty) although most of the time im way off to the side or i get cut. the last time i was "seen" on the small screen was in the law and order episode "sweetie". you can see the back of my head while im dancing around. if you go to my myspace page, you can see scenes from my appearance in the pilot "mr. bones".
but, this is where i'm like "HOLY SHIT"! i along with a who's who in nyc gay nightlife and the arts are featured extras on TAKING WOODSTOCK. you will see lots of me in the bar scene that was shot at the eagle. ang lee himself directed and blocked lots of my scene. during lunch, he said to me "i love your look". hmmm. ;-)
anyways... go see this amazing movie. being forty myself, im celebrating many of the events of 1969 that helped to shape the world we live in today. woodstock is certainly one of those moments.
MOMENTS THAT DEFINED A GENERATION
the lunar landing
woodstock music festival
disney world opened
the stonewall riots
